Jenny King: Landscape Designer

Jenny King’s journey into landscape design had humble beginnings. Before she had any intentions of trying to break into the industry, going in her garden was simply a nice break from the hustle and bustle of her daily life as a stay-at-home mom.

“It became a sort of therapy and creative outlet.”

From there, Jenny’s love for designing in her own garden quickly turned into helping friends with their yards, and the rest is history.

One of her favorite parts of landscape design is being able to create spaces that benefit the local environment, while also being beautiful for us to enjoy.

“It was a great way to check both those boxes of what I wanted to do.”

Whenever Jenny crafts her landscapes, she’s faced with the fun challenge of creating a space that can adapt to not only things like people and pets, but also the natural shifting of the weather and seasons.

“As a designer, you have to really think ahead…There's going to be seasons, there's going to be changes, and the landscape needs to grow with them.”
