Annalú

Italy-based artist Annalú has been refining her unique sculptures for decades. From branches to petals, nature and plants are integrated throughout her work.

“I am constantly connected to nature because my work is rooted in nature.”

Annalú says that one of the things that her work is centered around is the concept of metamorphosis, so she often finds herself emphasizing the special transitional moments in plants.

“I observe, listen to, ponder on nature and then interpret it. Plants are a constant source of inspiration especially in their moments of transition which I try to translate into art using resin.”

The process of creating these pieces is therapeutic in many ways for Annalú. The plant collection stage offers her tranquil time to herself and nature and gives her an opportunity to reflect.

“When gathering branches and roots, I know much time is needed to create the final piece. It is fascinating because the creation itself is important, and it’s when I meditate on my inner worlds.”
