Garden Center Group members have an exclusive opportunity to shape PlantPop’s 2026 garden cinema tour.

Since 2014 PlantPop has produced over 500 short documentary films about “interesting people doing cool things with plants.” Founded and funded by Lancaster Farms, a wholesale container nursery in Suffolk, VA, we also operate an innovative time-lapse studio which produces mesmerizing images of plants blooming and growing.

This year, we are proud to have produced our first feature-length documentary, Daylily. Our next feature film (about roses) is currently in production and will be released in 2027. Our plan is to annually produce and tour with one new feature-length film, 50 new short documentaries, and several hours of new time-lapse footage.

Why are we making films? Because we believe in two things: the power of plants and the power of cinema. Why do we want to offer this exclusively to members of The Garden Center Group? Because we believe in the value you bring to your horticultural communities. You deserve the opportunity to provide the very best cultural experience horticulture has ever seen.

Obviously, nobody has done anything like this before. It’s important for you to know that we don’t exactly know what we’re doing! So, why should you trust us? Well, we’ve run a wholesale nursery providing the very finest ornamental plants since 1969. For more than 10 years, we’ve been making films. While we haven’t done a cinema tour before, the things we do we do extremely well.
