Maggie Moomaw: Irvington Spring Farm

Maggie’s family started Irvington Spring Farm when she was only two years old, so she started life with deep roots in the flower farming business. Her and her siblings all grew up running around the farm, so they gained both a strong work ethic and love for nature.

“I think it taught us all how to work hard. But also gave us all a deep appreciation and connection to the natural world.”

She believes that flowers are so important for everyone, just based on their natural beauty alone. They give us a break from the busy aspects of modern life and make us remember how important it is to pause and enjoy the view.

“We're all so go, go, go all the time. You know, the phrase…stopping to smell the roses? Like just take a break. Just breathe, just be in nature.”

Maggie and her family have all centered their lives around flowers for so many years that she can’t wait to carry on the legacy and continue their business.

“I feel like flowers and our family just have been intertwined for so long that like for us, it all kind of feels like flowers are our love language and that's how we give to our community.”
