FIELDTRIP: Château du Rivau

The Château du Rivau is one of the oldest castles in the Loire Valley - a region that is renowned for its peak growing conditions. History and plant enthusiasts alike will fall in love with this 15th century site. There are 15 magnificent gardens spread out over 6 hectares of land, all featuring beautiful botanical collections. 

Every visit to the Rivau gardens will be a unique one, as the garden owner and designer, Patricia Laigneau strives to rotate the gardens frequently, always ensuring that at least two of them are at the peak of their flowering season.
