Elizabeth Licata: Professional Writer

Elizabeth Licata never thought she would want to become a gardener. As pretty as the results are, it’s a lot of hard work. But she wanted to create a space where she could relax after staring at a screen all day. So, she got her hands in the soil, and the rest is history.
“If you weren't here, I would be sitting here. I would be reading my Kindle. I would be having a glass of wine…I've been staring at a computer all day. It's much nicer to sit here and stare at this.”
When she started getting into gardening, she began reading as much as she could from all the best books. Being a writer for art magazines in her day job, the natural next step forward was starting her own blog about her journey.
Her blogging led to The Garden Rant Blog seeing her work. Now, she’s been writing for them for almost twenty years.
“...to write about gardening, it just gives you something else. You're less critical. You're analytical. You're discovering.”
A film by Michael Chernoff.
