FIELDTRIP: Claude Monet's Garden at Giverny

In 1883, Claude Monet and his family settled in Giverny, France. The property consists of two distinct gardens: a flower garden called Clos Normand near the house and a Japanese inspired water garden across the road.
Monet was an artist both on canvas and in his garden. He preferred to let his gardens grow freely, so each bed holds a variety of different flowers, common and rare species mixed together in a way that would inspire his colorful paintings.
