Jardin de la Belle Allemande

The Jardin de la Belle Allemande started out very sparse, with just some chestnut trees lining the property. Now, it’s a beautiful space filled with a variety of plants and flowers thanks to the hard work and passion of Marie-France Belz.

“Several centuries of fallen leaves from the big trees, from the hill everywhere, it has made a loam, a beautiful loam in which all our plants could grow beautifully.”

Marie-France dedicates a lot of her time to learning about plants so she can help them thrive as much as possible. She finds it surprising when others don’t share the same eagerness to educate themselves about the world around them.

“I think that if you are on this planet, you have to spend your life learning the most you can learn.”

A film by Camilla Fantinati.
