PlantPop NYC: Block Island
PlantPop NYC is a segment of PlantPop. We hired a young filmmaker from New York, Stephen Farris, to film cool plant stories in the city.
While searching for an escape from the busy city life, Stephen and his assistant Sam decided Block Island would satisfy their desires for relaxation, beautiful scenery, and delicious fresh seafood.
Block Island is 12 miles south of the mainland of Rhode Island and boasts vast public beaches, fishing, and gorgeous bluffs among other things.
Stephen and Sam were able to spot a few indigenous plants along their journey as well as talk to some of the locals. They even had time to learn how to shuck oysters.
