FIELDTRIP: The Art Garden

Just a short walk away from the Oceanfront in Virginia Beach is a beautiful brick walkway-lined garden filled with an abundance of colorful flowers, interesting plants, and charming artistic pieces.

The owner is an accomplished gardener as well as an artist, so of course the space would house the unexpected. Amidst a small cove shaded by a Japanese maple, viewers can see a concrete sphere fountain encircled by Irish moss. But the real eye-catcher is the whimsical addition of several small mirrors which reflect the light, a truly magical addition to an already endearing space.

The garden itself is ever-evolving and has been dubbed “The Art Garden” because of the continuous creative process laid out by owners Dr. Stuart and Mrs. Lori Goldwag.

Special thanks to them for sharing their lovely garden with us.
