Daniel the Gardener

Tattoos are perhaps one of the most personal forms of art. Daniel has created art his whole life, and tattooing often gives him a chance to connect his art with another passion: plants.

“I just feel that there is something so beautiful and empowering with tattooing, florals and botanics on people, and I feel very lucky to be the one who tells their story with my designs.”

Daniel’s goal isn’t to recreate the plants perfectly, but rather to create evocative representations for people.

“It's more about like how I feel about that plant, how I feel about that design or that piece and the part in the body.”

At home, Daniel grows and propagates his own plants to get a feel for how their leaves are shaped and formed as studies for his art.

“Among all the things you could decide to get tattooed, getting plants and flowers is such a lovely statement of who you are and what you give importance to…”
