Margie Bauer: Botanical Artist

Finding your life passion early is a very special thing that not many get to experience. Margie Bauer discovered her love for art, and specifically art of plants and nature, very early on.

Despite this, her life took a slightly different path - Margie became a chemist and travelled to teach, but still brought her love of plants along that journey.

“I had a garden there, and everywhere I’ve lived since leaving home, I’ve had a garden.”

Throughout her travels, Margie decided that she wanted to pursue agriculture seriously. She got to promote United States agriculture and meet farmers in other countries that taught her things as well.

When Margie retired from that job, she was able to settle in and return to her roots - art.

“I had a fantastic life traveling. One thing that I learned from working with these people is that they know how to talk to plants. They know how to listen. They know what to ask. And it’s a beautiful thing.”
