Kim Walker: Master Gardener & Florist

Even though Kim Walker grew up admiring her grandparent’s gardens, it wasn’t until later in life that she actually took gardening up herself.

“I had a lot of fondness for the gardens, but no interest in helping at all.”

When Kim and her husband got their first house with a yard, it finally clicked for her. From there, she started growing cut flowers.

One of the things she’s grown to love about gardening is how therapeutic it is and how much we can get out of just the simple act of nurturing plants.

“I really wish people knew how much easier it is working with nature instead of against it.”

She feels like she can spread the joy that she gets from gardening with others that receive what she grows.

“I love the idea that my flowers are making someone's day brighter.”
