Guenola: Potter
Guenola spends most of her time out in her garden. With all of her pottery supplies ready, she immerses herself in the plants that inspire her work.
By utilizing plants from her garden in her porcelain work, she gets to use the textures that inspire her to create beautiful, unique ceramics.
“I love feeling things between my fingers and feeling petals and the veins on the backside of the petals.”
Both pottery and gardening require a lot of patience and time before you get to fully appreciate the beauty they provide, and Guenola believes this is one of the most important things she’s learned from them over the years.
“Between ceramics and my garden, the one thing that it teaches me over and over again is how to be patient and how to relax and let things happen.”
A film by Juliette Sutherland.
