Sabrina Kelly: Landmark Nursery Manager

The first job that Sabrina worked when she got to Florida five years ago was working at a car dealership, and it was extremely unfulfilling for her. The pandemic allowed her to take a step back and reconsider - and expand her plant collection.

A fateful stop in a local nursery changed her life track completely. A conversation about how much she knew about plants turned into a job interview and eventually led to her helping run the nursery.

“Through my journey of working here, nature has really helped me reconnect and re-ground myself.

Sabrina believes strongly in the healing power of plants. She felt it herself when grieving the passing of her father, and gardening helped her cope with the emotions that followed.

Designing gardens for people is a way for Sabrina to connect with them and help them see the positive impact that gardening can have on their lives.

“It just helps people remember and see that we're all together in this, that nature is the pinnacle and the centerpiece of us as humans.”
