Dagny Kream: Nature & Floral Photographer

Being outside with plants, experiencing the simple joys of nature, is extremely cathartic. This is especially true when you’re capturing natural beauty through drawing, painting, or photography.

This feeling of connection with nature is what draws Fine Art Nature and Floral Photographer Dagny Kream to get out with her camera. She strives to capture every aspect of the plants, even when they begin to decay.

“I photograph nature in all of its forms…I try to capture all of the texture and a lot of the different stages of a plant’s life.”

She’s found that the simple act of photographing the plants in each stage of life forces her to take a pause, especially if she has to wait for a moment to get the shot she wants.

“It becomes a meditation for me.”

Dagny wants people to understand the need to take a step back sometimes. Being in nature gives the opportunity to just breathe and be.

“We need to slow down. I think everybody needs to slow down…Nature is a haven. It’s a sanctuary. It’s a place where you can feel not alone…”
