Groovy Plants Ranch

Liz Hughes never expected to transition from years of educating across elementary to college courses into owning a garden center. Luckily, she still gets to fulfill that passion for teaching at Groovy Plants Ranch. 

“Customers have a lot of questions about plants. I think it’s an area that people [have] interest in, but not a lot of education or skills.”

Groovy Plants Ranch gets customers from all over, driving hours to visit and share their love of plants. Liz loves how her job lets her meet tons of like-minded plant lovers that are just as passionate as she is.  

“It’s still work, you’re still doing things. But I like that it’s varied and that I get to be outside, and I’m not just sitting and doing the same thing every day.”
