FIELDTRIP: Jardi Botanic, Valencia

In the historic center of the city, the University of Valencia hosts a beautiful botanical garden that both its students and the public are free to explore. One of the goals of the gardens is to help connect people to the plant world, as well as educate them about conservation and sustainable use.
The garden originated as an orchard used to teach botanical studies in the 16th century, and then flourished in the 19th century. Today, they showcase a massive amount of plant varieties from all over the world that remind us of the immense biodiversity of our planet.
