FIELDTRIP: Grand Rond

Nestled below the city center of Toulouse, France is a tranquil retreat and piece of history, the Grand Rond. This public garden dates all the way back to the mid-18th century and was redesigned as an English garden in the 19th century.

The centerpiece of the gardens features a beautiful fountain surrounded by flowerbeds that change with the seasons. Several walking paths branch out from the central lawn, lined with trees and other carefully curated foliage.

With its timeless beauty and easy access to nature, the Grand Rond offers a perfect chance to escape from the bustle of city life.
