Being able to hold onto items to commemorate precious memories is always something special.

After Lily Bohl got married, she wanted to be able to hold onto the flowers from her bouquet forever. This led her to learning floral preservation methods and pressing flowers to make keepsakes for herself and others.

Lily enjoys being able to go out and forage for floral material to use in her pieces. It rekindles childhood memories of picking flowers for loved ones and trying to press them in books to keep them around longer.

“I feel like appreciating florals as an adult is kind of a continuation of that childlike spirit.”

Native flowers are commonplace in Lily’s work. She loves the feeling of locals asking if she uses their favorite flowers in pieces and getting to craft something special for them.

With floral preservation and creating jewelry and other art pieces, Lily gets to give people an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of flowers year round.

“Flowers can hold and represent a special time in your life or a memory.”
