Kazumi Garden
There is something special about being able to share your passion with your loved ones. Mercedes Manosalva garnered her love for plants from her grandfathers. Even though it took a while to pass that interest on to her son, the result was a blooming business that they both adore.
“Anytime I looked at a plant, I was amazed by their beauty, and I kept wondering why people couldn’t see that beauty.”
The idea for Kazumi Garden all started with a trip Mercedes took to Japan to visit her daughter. She immediately fell in love with kokedamas and started learning how to make her own, which soon caught her son Edgardo’s attention.
“The smile, the joy, the happiness, made me think that this product had something unique, something special.”
Building Kazumi Garden has brought the entire family closer together, which makes it even more fulfilling than it already was for the mother-son team.
“I am proud of working with my son, of him being part of what I do and sharing with him my love of kokedamas.”
